T O P I C R E V I E WChildofVenusThis is a chart from astro.com he's the red on the outside and I'm the blue. I don't know if not having his birthtime would make this in accurate. But I used my correct birth time. CeridwenNo, it isn`t. There are no midpoint-charts on astro.com. However if you put up a natal chart Ebertin style, and then call up the pdf with the data, you will find the midpoints listed. then you check the other chart and check for planets that are conjunct, square, opposite the first chart`s midpoints within 1°-1°30 at most. ChildofVenusSo if I wanted to see if my Midpoint is conjunct or in opposition of another persons planet I would need to pull up my Midpoint chart then? quote:Originally posted by Ceridwen:No, it isn`t. ChildofVenusDid I do this right? And I didn't use his birth time because I don't know it I just used 12:00pm. But my birth time is correct. CeridwenNo, you need to pull up the pdf with the additional tables. ChildofVenusDo I need to make a chart showing the Midpoints for each person? Or do I need to make a synastry chart as well? quote:Originally posted by Ceridwen:No, you need to pull up the pdf with the additional tables. Ceridweneach person, you have to do it separately for each person.ChildofVenusThe first one is mine and the second one is his. I don't know if not having his birth time will affect this. CeridwenYou have to exclude any planetary pairings for him, that contain Moon, ASC or MC. ChildofVenusAre these the right charts? There is a second page that says Natal Chart Midpoints in 90 degree order. quote:Originally posted by Ceridwen:You have to exclude any planetary pairings for him, that contain Moon, ASC or MC. ChildofVenusI'm confused I don't know what to look for. In each chart it looks like their are conjunctions between each planet. ShineYourLightYou can also go to Pullen/Astrolog on the astro.com methods menu, and choose Aspect/Midpoint Grid Chart! I find that way easier to look at + you can change between charts more easily. Hope that helps! ChildofVenusThank you but why are the planets making aspects to each other in the two separate charts? quote:Originally posted by ShineYourLight:You can also go to Pullen/Astrolog on the astro.com methods menu, and choose Aspect/Midpoint Grid Chart! I find that way easier to look at + you can change between charts more easily. Hope that helps! CeridwenI am not sure what you mean, with planets making aspects (planets always make aspects to each other, at least when in specific distance of each other, like being 120° apart, they would be trine, but you know that). As for the first table you posted (I am familiar with Ebertin`s chart, so will address this one). You print out both data-sheets. Then you check where the planets fall in one sheet, and check if there is a midpoint/ combination of two planets at the same degree, opposite or square in the other. Example: his Mars (and Pluto) on 6°24 Libra(wow, he has a precise Mars-Pluto-conjunction? intense!)your Venus/Jupiter 5°28 Ariesthat means his Mars would be opposite your Venus/Jupiter-mp by 0°56, this is within orb, and also a direct midpoint (direct midpoint means, a planet is conjunct or opposite a midpoint; indirect midpoints would be if the planet was square a midpoint).his Mars also opposes your Mercury/Venus-mp within tight orbThe meaning of this is that he activates the Mercury/Venus and Venus/Jupiter-combo in you. Usually they lie dormant in your chart as midpoints do, unless tied to a natal planet. But his Mars "wakes" it up, especially the Venus/Jupiter. In relation to him, and especially when he is expressing his masculinity or assert himself or just basically expressing his Mars, you feel as if you have a Venus-Jupiter-conjunction. Or with other words he incites very enthusiastic romantic feelings in you, basically a "feeling good" vibration - though this is just one aspects, so of course others might modify that feeling and bring more somberness at other places. But this Mars = Venus/Jupiter is just a really nice romantic and also sexually attractive combo. As for Mercury/Venus it is interesting that you have yourself a planet aspecting this, as your Neptune squares Mercury/Venus in your natal. While this is very poetic and artistic and sensitive, it also can bring some confusion and lack of clarity for you.Your way to communicate might sometimes lack that claritiy. Now it also means of course that your Neptune squares his Mars, which might drive him bonkers at times. A very seductive and tantalizing aspects, but at the same time you might seem somehow elusive to him, or he feels like he just can`t "grasp" or understand you. Things are a bit too foggy for his Mars-Pluto, that would prefer things to be very clear, here-and-now-, hands-on, intense, and less mystical-romantic-poetic-lyrical. He has himself his Mercury/Venus-mp there conjunct his Mars and Pluto, which is interesting.First of all there are differences in communicating, but ultimately you activate Mercury/Venus in each other, just doing it in different ways (you through Neptune, him through Mars-Pluto).Nevertheless Mercury/Venus is about friendliness, a playful communication (well maybe not so much with his Pluto, this might make things feel more intense and deep), and a certain flirtative vibration, especially with his Mars activating both your Mercury/Venus. The aspects that you see in the first table like in your tableMercury conjunct Sun/Venusmeans that your own Mercury occupies the exact same spot as your Sun/Venus-midpoint.The 90° wheel is a simplification to make it possible to see what is conjunct, opposite, square on one glance (though you won`t know from looking at it which of these aspects applies). Cardinal signs are placed on 00°-30°fixed signs on 30°-60°mutable signs on 60°-90°Which means that a planet on 15° Aries, 15° Cancer or 15° Libra or 15° Capricorn, would be placed onto 15° of that 90° wheel (no distinction made between the actual cardinal sign). A planet on 5° Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces, would be placed onto 65°. (as the area for mutables start at 60° and 60° + 5° is 65°) and so on. I usually prefer the first table though, as I think that direct midpoints (conjunction and opposition) are more important than indirect ones, even though we cannot underestimate the square, and some swear semisquare and sesisquare work as well. Though other astrologers, if doing midpoint work, would only use the direct ones. It`s a bit a matter of your observation, experiences. While indirect ones work, I pay more attention to direct ones also because they happen often as a result of aspect patterns. ExampleA Grand trine of Sun 25 CancerMars 25 ScorpioChiron 25 Pisces(as we had some time ago)it means that each is on the far midpoint of the other two planetsSun/Mars 25 Virgo (opp. Chiron)Sun/Chiron 25 Taurus (opp. Mars)Mars/Chiron 25 Cap (opp. Sun). I understand however that this is a lot to take in. And first priority need to be a good grasp of how to interprete major aspects and combination of planets. here is a link you could look into http://hniizato.com/midpoints-in-astrology/ ChildofVenusBut I don't have a Venus/Jupiter aspect in my natal chart. quote:Originally posted by Ceridwen:I am not sure what you mean, with planets making aspects (planets always make aspects to each other, at least when in specific distance of each other, like being 120° apart, they would be trine, but you know that). As for the first table you posted (I am familiar with Ebertin`s chart, so will address this one).
